Deadly pedestrian accident in Phoenix under investigation

PHOENIX - A deadly pedestrian accident is under investigation in Phoenix Thursday morning.

Police say a man was struck and killed by a car just before 3 a.m. near 23rd Avenue and Peoria, and the driver stayed at the scene.

Peoria Avenue is shut down between 23rd and 25th avenues while detectives figure out what led up to the incident.
