Award-winning reporter Andrew Hasbun has covered some of the biggest stories in Arizona since joining FOX 10 in 2006.
From the start of Sheriff Joe Arpaio's controversial crime sweeps to the signing of Senate Bill 1070, Andrew has reported extensively on immigration in Arizona. His straight-forward reporting has earned praise from lawmakers and immigration activists. His coverage of a major protest the day Governor Jan Brewer signed SB 1070 earned Andrew his first Emmy nomination. His coverage of a contentious demonstration in support of the Dream Act earned him an Emmy Award.
Andrew's reporting extends well beyond immigration. He was in Tucson shortly after the 2011 shooting of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords and spent time in the White Mountains covering the Wallow Fire, the largest wildfire in Arizona history.
If you live in Arizona, you know the monsoon season brings plenty of wild weather. Andrew was at Sky Harbor Airport in 2011 when a massive dust storm rolled through. His reporting from a dust filled terminal earned him his second Emmy Award.
Before joining FOX 10, Andrew was an anchor and reporter in the Pacific Northwest and the Deep South. At WLBT-TV in Jackson, Mississippi, Andrew covered the land fall and aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. He started his career KOBI-TV in Medford, Oregon.
Andrew is a Southern California native and a graduate of the University of Southern California.
