Liz Kotalik

Liz Kotalik is excited and honored to be back home in Phoenix with the news team she’s been watching for years. You can see her every weekday on AZAM either filling in on the desk or reporting in the field.

Liz comes to FOX 10 after spending three years at KGUN9, the ABC affiliate in Tucson. Before becoming the morning show co-anchor, Liz filed investigative, breaking news and feature reports for the station. Her stories ranged from helping a veteran get cancer treatment after the VA system pushed him aside, to an AP award-winning piece about an internet hoax that turned the small town of Mammoth upside down.

As a student at ASU’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication, Liz anchored and reported for the program’s live newscast, Cronkite Newswatch. She also held numerous internships including CNN, 48 Hours Mystery and The Arizona Republic.

A proud All Saints’ Tiger, Sunnyslope Viking and Arizona State Sun Devil, Liz is thrilled to be back home in the Valley. She is looking forward to spending time with her family and longtime friends…and getting free meals from her parents.
