Stefania Okolie joined the FOX 10 team as a reporter in September 2016. Stefania comes to FOX 10 from Norfolk, VA, where she worked as a reporter and fill-in anchor for WTKR News 3. She was born in Miami and raised in South Florida.
Her passion for news reporting developed at the early age of 7, as she watched local reporters in her hometown cover severe weather. Growing up, she used her stuffed animals as an audience and hosted her own talk show in her family’s living room.
She got her first real broadcasting experience in high school as an anchor for the morning show “Dreyfoos Daily,” at Alexander W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts.
Stefania graduated with honors from The University of South Carolina in December of 2013 with a degree in Journalism. It was during her college years that Stefania found her passion in journalism: giving a voice to the people and the art of telling stories.
Upon graduation, she moved to Columbus, GA where she landed a job as a reporter at WRBL. Stefania then found herself back home in West Palm Beach where she worked as an editor/photographer at CBS 12. From there she went to WTKR News 3 in Norfolk as a reporter. Stefania covered a wide range of stories in Hampton Roads including severe weather, military homecomings, and high profile trials.
On her off time, Stefania enjoys everything fitness and outdoors. She is a former dance fitness instructor and a huge beach lover. She enjoys hot yoga, running, hiking, shopping, and loves some good Mexican food. She is also always looking for a good book suggestion for her next read.
She is so excited to take on the heat in the beautiful state of Arizona.
