Super Bowl 49: NFL wives hold fashion show

Super Bowl week is not just for the guys. NFL player wives put on a fashion show in Scottsdale, and it was for a great cause.

Beauty and brawn on the runway as NFL players escorted their gorgeous wives during what is sure to be the chicest event of the week. The Off the Field Player's Wives Fashion Show at Fashion Square Mall, the event attended by hundreds.

"I think this is a wonderful event the ladies put on since they aren't on the field, but to do something special for the communities they play in," said Emma Mosley.

Outside, just across Goldwater Boulevard was an entirely different story.

"I was here, this morning, I got caught in it and I was like I was not ready for this," said Fatima Clement.

The tent, where the show was going to be held, was soaked by the rain.

"Change is good to go with the flow," said Ketonya Bankston.

Huge puddles inside the tent forced a quick change of plans.

"We've been working on it since about four this morning, but we're ready to go, and it looks beautiful in here," said Emily Ginzl.

The show of course went on, the NFL wives including some of them Arizona residents were glowing and glamorous and helping to raise awareness.

"It's very important for those of us associated with football through our husbands, there are a lot of things we deal with, there's a lot of things we're passionate about, for example making sure their health is well," said Camille Jenkins.

"We walk them down, I'm going to be very proud to have her on my arm," said Martay Jenkins.

This is the 15th year for the show that was created to help local and national charities. This year more than 50 wives participated, rain or shine making a difference.

Tickets to the show were $250 and the show was sold out.
