National Dessert Day

October 14th is National Dessert Day and Chef Michael Geller from Sauce Pizza and Wine is showing us how to make a some tasty treats!

Triple Chocolate Chunk Cookie
Makes 22 four-ounce cookies

Ingredients:
Unsalted butter (room temperature) 1 1/2 cups
White granulated sugar 1 1/2 cups
Brown sugar 1 1/2 cups
Liquid eggs 3/4 cup
All-purpose flour 2 1/4 cups
Baking soda 1 tbsp
Dash of table salt
Vanilla extract 11/2 teaspoons
Dark Chocolate chips 1 cup
Milk chocolate chips 1 cup
White chocolate chips 1 cup

Preparation:
1. Start with a clean and dry work surface.
2. In a large bowl, combine butter and both sugars. Using an electric mixer, mix on low speed for two minutes then scrape down the bowl with a rubber spatula.
3. Mix on low speed for an additional four minutes then scrape down the bowl.
4. On low speed, slowly pour in eggs then scrape the bowl. Mix again on low speed for two minutes then scrape the bowl.
5. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, salt and vanilla. Stir then add to mixture and mix on low speed until both mixtures are incorporated. Scrape down the bowl and mix 10 seconds.
6. Add all three chocolate chips until incorporated then scrape the bowl.
7. Place four ounces (approximate size of a golf ball) of mixture/dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
8. Bake at 325° for 14 minutes.
