Recipe: Cooking with the Captain - Salmon Patty Burgers

Aaron Ernsberger shares his recipe for Salmon Patty Burgers:

  • 12 oz of canned or already cooked salmon left overs
  • ½ of a sweet yellow onion minced
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 1 cup of bread crumbs or your favorite crumbled crackers
  • 4 tbsp of hot mustard
  • 3 tbsp of soy sauce
  • Salt and garlic to taste
  • Hamburger buns or rolls from the bakery

This meal feeds four, takes approximately ten to fifteen minutes to prepare and about 7 minutes to cook.

Combine all the ingredients into a large mixing bowl and form into patties that are about a ½ inch thick.

Place in a light oiled pan and brown each side of the patties.

Take your buns and lightly cover with butter and toast your buns in the skillet you cooked the salmon patties in.

Garnish with lettuce, onion and a wasabi spread.

Enjoy!! Goes great with some cottage cheese or a fruit salad.
