Willie Nelson introduces CBD-infused coffee

- Legendary country music singer and pro-marijuana advocate, Willie Nelson, announced Monday he and his family were debuting a hemp-infused product line called "Willie's Remedy."

The music icon and longtime U.S. farming activist will be releasing hemp-infused whole-bean coffee.

The company claims when brewed properly, each eight-ounce cup of Willie's Remedy coffee will contain seven milligrams of hemp-derived CBD.The brand is pegged to sell "non-intoxicating hemp-based products."

The coffee is infused with "certified organic, full-spectrum hemp oil grown in Colorado" and the coffee is sourced from smallholder farms in Colombia.

“Hemp production in America was stifled for so long, but it could now make all the difference for small independent farmers,” Mr. Nelson said. “Hemp isn’t just good for our farmers and our economy, it’s good for our soil, our environment—and our health.”

According to the press release the line was inspired by Willie and his wife Annie Nelson.

“It’s not about getting high, but it’s still all about Willie and the benefits we believe cannabis has to offer.

Willie and I are proud to offer quality, American-sourced hemp wellness options for people of his generation, our kids’ generation, and everyone in between,” said Annie.

The product is available online for $36.
