PHOENIX (AP) - Federal authorities say 180 suspect Arizona gang members have been arrested in connection with a three-month string.
The U.S. Marshals Service announced Monday the arrested involving fugitives wanted on a number of felony crimes, including homicide, robbery, and rape.
Officials say "Operation GRIT 2015" also resulted in 189 cleared warrants, 34 firearms seizures, and confiscated drugs.
David Gonzales, U.S. Marshal for the District of Arizona, says a number of law enforcement agencies participated in the operation.
The sting began in May.
