12 hurt at Summer's End concert, Tempe PD working to prevent similar incident

Several concert-goers were injured Saturday night at a music festival in Tempe, and both police and fire crews are working with promoters to prevent a similar situation on Sunday.
Tempe Fire officials say a dozen people were injured at the Summer’s End music festival.
Police say the concert crowd started pushing toward the stage, causing a number of people to be pushed under the stage.  One of the patients suffered a serious head injury.
Fire officials say a total of nine people were transported to the hospital, including a couple of juveniles who were seriously injured.   A total of twelve patients were injured over all, but this number could change.
On Sunday, the final day of the music festival, police say that officers and staff with Tempe Fire Department are working with the concert promoter to prevent a similar situation from happening as the festival wraps up.
Police say that alcohol was served at the event, but it's not clear if alcohol played any role in the stage rush incident.  A spokesperson for Tempe Fire says that dozens more patients at the event were treated for alcohol-related and heat-related conditions.  Seven people suffering from heat or alcohol-related trouble also had to be transported.
The Sunday lineup of musical artists includes Kanye West, Pusha T, and Chance the Rapper
