Suspect sought after man killed at party Saturday

Police want to find a suspect accused of gunning a man down at a party early Saturday morning.

A spokesperson for Phoenix Police say 27-year-old Jose Ramirez was shot and killed at a party at a home near 67th Avenue and Windsor. Officers responded to the home at 4 a.m. Saturday.

Police were told that the suspect, 27-year-old Fernando Soto-Herrera, got into an argument with Ramirez, left the party and returned with a gun, and then opened fire several times. Ramirez was pronounced dead on the scene.

Phoenix Police are now trying to find Soto-Herrera, and they have released a mug shot of the suspect taken at an earlier date.

Anyone with information about Soto-Herrera is asked to call 480-WITNESS. Callers can remain anonymous.
