PHOENIX - Phoenix Police spent all day Saturday searching for an autistic man who went missing Friday morning.
Phoenix Police spokesperson Officer James Holmes said 26-year-old Alexander Armando Gutierrez was last seen Friday, October 9th, at 8:00 a.m. in the area of 45th Avenue and Thomas.
Later Saturday evening they said he had been spotted around 4:00 p.m. in the area of 32nd Street and East Thunderbird Road.
A short time later, police informed the media that Gutierrez had been located.
During the search, police stressed that Gutierrez is autistic and has a diminished mental capacity that may make it a challenge for him to communicate. He recently moved to the area from another city in the Valley.
