3 armed robbery suspects arrested in Phoenix

Three people are under arrest. Police say they are suspects in a string of armed robberies across Central Phoenix.

Two of the suspects are teenagers, police say they had a gun and drove around looking for victims.

"I heard my brother yelling and then I heard four gunshots," said a family member of the victim.

He ran outside and found his uncle on the ground, bleeding after being pistol whipped by armed robbers.

"They robbed him, they stole his money, they took his lottery tickets, his wallet, and his phone," said a family member.

His uncle had just left a convenience store near Central and Dunlap and was walking down the street when the suspects struck.

"His eye bone is broken from the inside, and right now he's going to go into surgery," said a family member.

Police say the armed robbers also robbed two others Sunday night, one of the victims is just 14-years-old.

"It's cruel, there're cruel people in the world, I don't know why they would do that," said a family member.

The victim is expected to survive. Police say the victim's range in age from 14 to their 50's.

Police have not released the suspects names but say they're facing armed robbery and aggravated assault charges.

Detectives are still investigating.
