They say opposites attract, and Jennifer Kelham is a fan of dark beers.
"I like old Rasputin," said Jennifer Kelham.
Her fiancee Scott is more of a wheat beer man.
"I like Big Blue Van College Street, the wheat bear," said Scott Heritage.
But neither can resist a pint of Pie Hole Porter or the chance to say "I do" at this year's Strong Beer Festival.
"We have donated cake, donated flowers, and you'll be able to be married by someone in the craft brewing industry," said Rob Fullmer, Executive Director of AZ Craft Brewers.
On Wednesday, judges interviewed couples for the contest. The winners will raise their glasses to holy matrimony on Valentine's Day, surrounded by 7,000 other craft beer fanatics.
For Jennifer and Scott the idea of marriage was already brewing, then they saw the contest on Facebook.
"That's part of the reason I love him, is something crazy and off the wall that he was like yes, we should do that," said Kelham.
If Jennifer and Scott win, they'll have just 24 hours notice before walking down the aisle, a prospect this low-key bride can toast to.
"It takes all the stress out of everything, you just show up, love each other and get married," she said.
If this sounds like your dream wedding, but you didn't enter the contest, you don't have to worry. Many of the brewers at the festival are ordained. So if you bring your marriage license, they'll perform a service for you that day.
