Wigs for Kids donations at Rolf Salon

It was a day to benefit Wigs for Kids, a valley man took it upon himself to help and with a few tough snips, Gary Anderson's long pony tail is gone.

"I just feel for the children, it's a terrible thing to have to go through anyway," said Gary Anderson.

His devotion is to the cause Wigs for Kids, birthed out of his family's fight with cancer, but also by his own struggle with heart health.

"I've gone through two open heart surgeries. The second surgery was required because I had some clots going through the hearts," he said.

"It's going to be a brand new look and of course it is for an amazing cause, I think he's an amazing role model inspiring other people," said Rolf Lohse.

Rolf with Rolf's Salons with a strong connection to the community, says when Gary asked for their help he was immediately on board.

"This cause is helping kids with wigs while going through cancer, I think we all have to be a part of it and we all have to make it a better world for everyone," he said.

The haircut was a breeze and his mustache went too.

"Overcame all this stuff, I'm not a man of wealth but I want to give back," said Anderson.
