Police say he fired shots in the Vee Quiva Casino parking lot Friday night.
"At one point he did point the gun at the security guard," said Detective Robert Hawkes, Gila River Police.
Williams has a record, this mug shot of Williams was taken in 2010 when he was arrested and convicted of an armed robbery.
In this latest instance police say Williams got into a disagreement with a casino security guard.
"The altercation escalated and as the suspect was walking in the parking lot, the suspect pulled out a weapon and discharged two rounds," said Hawkes.
No one was hit, police say Williams jumped in a truck driven by 29-year-old David Miller.
Police caught Miller at Sky Harbor Airport and arrested him on a felony warrant, but Williams was able to escape, running from the truck as it left the casino grounds.
Gila River Police say tips from the public helped them track Williams down at a house near 73rd Avenue and McDowell.
The Governor of the Gila River Community said he is thankful to Phoenix Police who were instrumental in helping to catch these suspects.
"They worked hand in glove, just some great cooperation between law enforcement and the Phoenix Police Department, I would just like to thank them on behalf of our community," said Governor Stephen Roe Lewis.
According to Detective Hawkes, the crime rate around the casino is pretty low.
