Governor Doug Ducey held a ceremony Tuesday and signed the American Civics Act.
The bill was signed into law five weeks ago, but the governor celebrated its passage with a public signing.
"We also are looking at all the standards in Arizona, and looking at how we can be a better state and lead the country and the results that our children are receiving inside these schools," said Gov. Ducey.
The test will require high school students to correctly answer 60 of 100 questions on the civics portion of the citizenship test.
