Warrant Wednesday: Goodyear jewelry theft suspect

Goodyear police are looking for a 45-year-old man who allegedly robbed a jewelry store near Indian School and Litchfield Roads.

According to officers, Lyle Franchot Stotts, also known as "Skipper," walked into Jewelry by Victor on December 26.

He reportedly told the sales associate that his wife had lost her wedding ring and he wanted to replace it.

When the associate took out a display box of rings and set it on the counter, police say Stotts grabbed the box and ran out.

Stotts was seen leaving in a small gray sedan. He is described as a white male, 5'7'', 210 pounds, with a shaved head and blue eyes. S

Police say he is known to be hostile towards law enforcement.

Stotts may be driving a silver '94 Infiniti J30 4-door, with AZ license #BAJ8588, or a silver 2005 Mercedes C24 4-door, AZ license #BHN4849.
