Arpaio's Tent City sets a new record; 500,000 inmates "served"

It has been visited by Presidential candidates, and celebrities and athletes have done time there.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio's Tent City Jail has reached a big milestone. More than half a million people have done time in the tents.

FOX 10 spoke with Sheriff Arpaio about tent city, and the court case that he is dealing with right now.

Arpaio is defending himself against a contempt charge. A judge said Arpaio intentionally went against his orders during immigration sweeps, he wants to fine the sheriff $100,000 out of Arpaio's own pocketbook.
