Tempe fire officials investigating house fire

An investigation is underway in Tempe where a house caught fire Saturday morning.

The blaze broke out on east Wildermuth, near Apache and Price.

Fire officials say a man on a bike spotted the blaze and called 9-1-1. They say no one was home at the time.

"The fire appears to have started outside and made its way into the house... the house was vacant... they got a quick primary all clear on it," said Phil Golosewski, Dept. Chief with the Tempe Fire Department.

Multiple crews helped knock down the flames and SRP showed up to establish a safety zone. Luckily, no one was hurt.
