Valley family attends White House Easter Egg Roll

A valley mom and her two young sons flew out to Washington D.C. to participate in the White House Easter Egg Roll.

Lena Freeman and her sons, 6-year-old C.J. and 4-year-old Bryson, rolled their eggs on the White House lawn along with thousands of other lucky Americans.

Freeman was nominated to attend the event by her local moms group, which helps support women of color. She says she and her family was chosen from hundreds of entries.

So, did they meet the President?

Unfortunately, they did not meet President Obama or the First Lady, but they did have the opportunity to meet the Secretary of State, John Kerry, and SpongeBob.

When asked who they enjoyed meeting more, the boys enthusiastically chose Kerry.
