Owner of Uncle Sam's sues MCSO over immigration raid

The owner of the Uncle Sam's restaurant has announced plans to sue Arpaio and the Sheriff's Office.

Bret Frimmel is the owner of the restaurant.

He filed the suit following his arrest and prosecution by MCSO for allegedly hiring illegal immigrant workers.

All charges were dismissed earlier Thursday and he announced a civil case shortly after.

"It's a huge relief to have the case against me dismissed. It's been a very difficult year and a half for my family, my restaurant, my employees, and myself," said Bret Frimmel.

"The methods of the Sheriff's Office were very questionable, it seemed as though they had decided before they started their investigation that they wanted to get my client," said attorney Leon Silver.

Now Frimmel is seeking damages after he says the highly publicized raid by MCSO hurt his business.
