Fire crews from both Glendale and Phoenix were called out to battle the blaze.
The fire broke out just after 10 p.m. near 47th Avenue and Thunderbird.
When crews arrived, the home was fully engulfed and flames were shooting through the roof.
Firefighters immediately began fighting the fire from the outside to try and keep it from spreading to neighboring homes.
The roof of the home eventually collapsed.
Since the home is vacant, no one was inside at the time.
Neighbors say there was a fire at the home last month as well.
Firefighters believe that the fire started outside the house, but the cause is still under investigation.
