Additional DPS officers cracking down on speeding and impaired driving

Whether you're headed north for the weekend, west to California, or staying in the valley, expect to see increased patrols.

Officers are cracking down on speeders and drunk drivers.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety is teaming up with the Governor's Office of Highway Safety, and ADOT for the highway safety campaign.

Enforcement started Friday afternoon and runs through Monday.

Officers across the state will be looking for drunk drivers, speeders, and distracted drivers, especially on the I-17 between Black Canyon City and Sunset Point, and the I-10 near the California border.
