Super Bowl XLIX gives big boost to AZ economy

Super Bowl 49 delivered a big boost to the valley's economy, according to the W.P. Carey School of Business at ASU.

They studied the nine days leading up to the Super Bowl and found nearly 122,000 people visited the valley during that time.

It pumped more than $719 million into the Arizona economy, that's a big increase from the last Super Bowl. It cost Arizona $30 million to host the big game.

One of the biggest attractions was Super Bowl Central in downtown Phoenix.

More than 1 million people stopped by the massive block party, but did that translate into big money for local businesses?

FOX 10's Steve Krafft has this report on the impact of SB49.
