Here's why you shouldn't check your GPS while crossing a bridge

A Florida driver who was distracted by his GPS jumped an open drawbridge this weekend, police say.

Authorities say 29-year-old James Montano was looking at his GPS when he plowed through a stop arm and flew airborne over the Flagler Memorial Bridge as it opened.

Montano's SUV crash-landed on the other side of the bridge.

He wasn't hurt, but he was charged with reckless driving in connection with the incident.
