Mesa launches hydration donation campaign

Temperatures in the valley are in the triple digits, and hot temperatures are here to stay.

The city of Mesa is working with nonprofit agencies and businesses to help homeless Arizonans beat the heat with its ninth annual Hydration Donation Campaign.

There are more than a dozen locations throughout Mesa where people can donate water.

Donations for buying water can also be made on the city's website.

Several Mesa businesses, including Rhode Aquatic Center, Golfland Sunsplash, USA Skateland, Fiesta Mall and the Fry's at Stapley and McKellips are offering special promotions to anyone who that donates at their locations.

The campaign runs through September 18.
