Vietnam veterans get warm welcome at Sky Harbor Airport

It was a warm welcome for a group of Vietnam veterans returning home to Eloy from Washington, D.C.

The seven veterans traveled to our nation's capitol to visit the memorials built in their honor.  They also toured the White House and Arlington Cemetery during their trip.

Arizona State Senator Catherine Miranda welcomed them on Saturday when their plane landed at Sky Harbor Airport.

"Most people usually recognize our veterans on Memorial Day.. or Veterans Day.. it's very important that we recognize them every day," she said.

Miranda says she's been working closely with Arizona Veterans Magazine to give vets the much needed exposure for their service.
