Thousands of APS customers without power throughout greater Phoenix

Thousands of people throughout the greater Phoenix area are really feeling the heat Sunday afternoon as thousands are without power, according to APS.

APS is currently working to restore power to more than 200 people between Van Buren Street and Washington and 22nd Avenue to 19th Avenue. According to their Twitter page, a downed power line is causing the outage.

More than 1700 people are without power between Paradise Drive and Shea Blvd and 32nd Street and Tatum Blvd and roughly 1100 customers are without power between Filmore Street and Grant Street and 22nd Avenue and 7th Street. APS has not yet said what has caused these power outages or when the power is expected to be restored.
