Hydration stations open around valley during excessive heat warning

It's expected to be another scorcher in the valley on Tuesday, and it's only going to get hotter this week.

While we remain under an excessive heat warning, several groups and cities are taking action to make sure people can beat the heat.

To help people who need to be out and about in the hot weather, the Salvation Army is deploying four hydration stations.

The stations will provide chilled bottles water, sunscreen, safety information and other relief from the heat.

They are open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Salvation Army volunteers operate hydration stations whenever a heat advisory is declared.

Hydration Station locations:

-SW corner 16th St. and Jefferson (East Lake Park)
-NE corner 3rd Ave. and Fillmore
-SW Corner of 5th St. and Hatcher
-35th Ave. and Roosevelt ( Falcon Park)
