TEMPE, Ariz. (KSAZ) - A 3-year-old girl was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries after she was hit by a truck at an apartment complex's parking lot near Rural Road and University Drive on Monday.
On Tuesday, police identified the driver of the truck as 61-year-old Lavelle Ferebee. They say he remained at the scene and was cooperative with the investigation. Ferebee was later arrested and released pending lab results on DUI and drug charges.
The 3-year-old girl is now listed in critical, but stable condition.
