9th Annual Border Security Expo underway in Phoenix

It's the 9th annual Border Security Expo, and it is taking place right in the heart of downtown Phoenix at the convention center.

People from all over the world have turned out to get a look at the newest tools and technology in border security.

"We have customers like from Spain; they are out here looking for stuff around their coastal areas that can drive," said Andrew Dames, with Torero Industries.

Organizers call it a leading conference in the world dedicated to international border security. More than 150 companies have turned out to showcase their products, some like the "Guard Bot" focus on surveillance.

"It's a spherical robot vehicle system that is very unique because it is propelled by a pendulum, or motion technology," said Peter Mulhrad, President of Guard Bot.

While other companies focus on getting people to hard to reach places.

"It's the first search and rescue unit you can take anywhere, you fold the back seats down, fit the stretcher in, flip the front seat around, and you can physically take care of someone while in transit," said an exhibitor.

Other products include high tech cameras, and detection tools are also on display. There were also several keynote speakers lined up for the two-day event.
