Physical therapist accused of sexually assaulting patient

PHOENIX (AP) - A self-employed physical therapist from Peoria has been jailed without bond after being arrested and accused of sexually assaulting a female patient.

Glendale police say in a court document that the victim reported being assaulted during an April 16 appointment for neck and back pain and that 61-year-old Edward Ralph Hunter made incriminating statements during their investigation.

A judge ordered Hunter held without bond because of the nature of the alleged offense.

A court document says Hunter doesn't have an attorney.
