2 plead not guilty in man's shooting death in Buckeye

BUCKEYE, Ariz. (AP) - Two Buckeye men arrested in the shooting death of a man near a school have pleaded not guilty.

Maricopa County Superior Court officials say 21-year-old Zackary Chase Howard and 18-year-old Richard Anthony Burns Jr. entered their pleas Thursday.

They're charged with first-degree murder, armed robbery and vehicle theft.

Police say a resident discovered the body of 19-year-old Matthew Christensen on a trail behind Inca Elementary School.

Police say he had multiple gunshots wounds to his body.

According to police, Howard and Burns conspired to rob Christensen at the location where his body was found.
