No bond for Mesa man accused of a sexually assaulting woman

PHOENIX (AP) - A Mesa man accused of sexually assaulting a woman has been ordered held without bond.

Chandler police say 20-year-old Michael Angelo Bouzos was arrested Wednesday afternoon.

He was booked into the Maricopa County Jail on suspicion of three counts of sexual assault, two counts of kidnapping and one count of sex abuse.

Police say Bouzos allegedly sexually assaulted a woman in his car on Feb. 6.

The woman told police that Bouzos had offered her a ride as she was walking to her grandmother's home in Chandler.

Bouzos didn't have an attorney at his initial court appearance Friday. He faces a March 5 status conference in his case and a March 9 preliminary hearing.
