PHOENIX (KSAZ) - Thursday's powerful monsoon storm has knocked out power for over 23,000 SRP and APS customers at one point, and some APS and SRP customers are still without power, as of Friday evening.
At one point on Thursday, SRP officials said an estimated 10,317 customers are affected by various power outages in Phoenix, Tempe, Mesa, and the Apache Junction area.
By 10:00 p.m. Friday, SRP officials said power has been restored to residents affected by storm-related power outages on Thursday.
At one point, APS officials said close to 15,000 customers were impacted by various power outages, due to storm-related conditions.
By 10:30 p.m. Friday, officials said an estimated 64 customers are without power, in an area stretching from Cholla St. to Gold Dust Ave., and State Route 51 (Piestewa Freeway) to 42nd St. in Phoenix.
Power, according to officials, is estimated to be restored by midnight on Friday. Meanwhile, APS officials said customers can buy up to 40 lbs or wet bagged ice, or 20 lbs of dry ice, and they can send receipts to:
