PHOENIX (KSAZ) - Kurt Warner is known not only for his skills on the field but his work in the community. Now he and his wife with the help of Habitat for Humanity gave one family the surprise of their lives.
"This is amazing, an incredible blessing, I didn't expect this at all," said Sandra Marin.
Just days before mother's day, Warner and his wife Brenda gave one mom something she wouldn't have been able to give herself.
"It's incredible, I don't know how to explain it, I could have never done this on my own," said Marin.
Through their First Things First Foundation, the couple gave Marin the surprise of a lifetime by furnishing her new home.
With the help and generosity of Aarons Inc, R&S Mattress, and Uhaul, the couple took the mom and her kids on a tour of their new home.
The foundation teamed up with Habitat for Humanity where Sandra has worked for many years; they picked her as a deserving candidate to become a first-time homeowner.
"The whole experience, everybody's amazing, and every step I was like this is awesome, then it gets better and better, every single time, including today," said Marin.
Marin was expecting to receive the new home for her family, but coming home to it being furnished was a surprise they won't take for granted.
"It's so gratifying to know, this is a gift that's not gonna last a week or two, it'll impact this family for years to come," said Kurt Warner.
