SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (KSAZ)
A Maricopa County Sheriff's Deputy shot in the line of duty has been released from the hospital. The deputy was shot during a traffic stop early Saturday morning.
It was a big show of support as Deputy Brian Wisda was wheeled out of Scottsdale Memorial Hospital Osborn this afternoon and Sheriff Joe Arpaio was there.
The deputy had stopped a vehicle suspected of driving under the influence early Saturday morning when somebody passing by fired multiple shots. It happened around 2 a.m. near Price and University. The shooter has not been caught.
The suspect was driving an 80's or 90's Silver Cadillac, they're asking anyone with information to call investigators.
