4 people, including 6-year-old, hurt in crash in west Phoenix

- Phoenix Fire crews rescued a driver who was trapped inside a burning car in west Phoenix.  Three others, including a 6-year-old, were hurt in the crash.

Phoenix Fire Department says a total of four people, including two men, a woman and a 6-year-old girl, were all hurt in the car accident at the intersection of 43rd Avenue and Glendale.

Crews on-scene say a man was driving a sports car that burst into flames when it collided with another vehicle.  They say the man was trapped, and they were able to put out the flames and pull the man out of the vehicle.  He was rushed to a nearby trauma hospital in serious condition with multiple injuries.

A 6-year-old girl and her mother and father were riding in the other vehicle, and all of them were injured.  Fire crews say the girl was restrained properly, and was taken to a nearby trauma facility in stable condition. Her parents were also transported in stable condition after they suffered minor injuries.

The intersection remains closed with police investigate the crash.
