GLENDALE, Ariz. (KSAZ)
Glendale Police say a 35-year-old man was driving a jaguar when he was shot just after 3 a.m. this morning and ended up driving right into a liquor store.
"Gunshot then a loud crash and that's pretty much it ma'm, and I just walked by and I was just there."
Witnesses who didn't want to be identified say they saw the vehicle coming from a nightclub.
Glendale police say the man driving the car was alone. He remains in the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
FOX 10 spoke with a man who says his close friend own Farmer's Liquors and is on vacation in California.
"He called me at 3 o'clock and said go to the store something happened and I cam here and the first thing he told me is make sure and check if somebody didn't lose their life. First thing he asked me he said don't worry about the building, don't worry about any loss of something."
Hussain says the building will be boarded up after police finish their investigation.
"We can tape around and make sure nobody steals the stuff or something."
"Thanks to City of Glendale police department. They are super good."
Hussain says the building is insured and can be fixed. He just hopes the driver who was shot pulls through.
