18-year-old Scottsdale student arrested, in connection with threatening social media post

- Scottsdale Police officials say an 18-year-old has been arrested, in connection with an incident that was construed as a threat.

According to a statement released Wednesday night, Fabian A. Delgado was arrested for Disorderly Conduct.

According to the statement, Scottsdale Police said Scottsdale Police School Resource Officers were alerted by Scottsdale Unified School District officials early Wednesday, of a recent social media post that was distributed by Delgado. In the post, Scottsdale Police officials said Delgado was holding what initially appeared to be an assault rifle, with the message "don't go to school tomorrow" reportedly attached to it.

Delgado, according to police, was contacted and interviewed, and during the interview, Scottsdale Police determined the weapon in question was actually an air soft rifle, and Delgado had no intentions of committing violence toward and students or school officials.
