Reward offered for Taco Bell robbery suspect

- Police are offering a reward to help find a suspect accused in an armed robbery at a Valley Taco Bell.

Sgt. James Rothschild with Silent Witness says the suspect walked into the Taco Bell near 48th Street and Bell on Sunday, June 12th at about 7:15pm.  Police say the suspect pointed a handgun at the clerk and demanded money. 

The clerk could not open the register, so the suspect stole the clerk's cell phone.  The suspect also pointed his gun at a second clerk, and then ran to the passenger side of a light-colored SUV that was waiting in the parking lot.  The SUV drove away from the scene.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic or Native American man, about 20-25 years old, five feet seven inches, 150 pounds, thin build, with brown hair, brown eyes, and tattoos on his arms.  He was reportedly wearing a red hat, a black shirt with a logo on it, and black shorts.  he was armed with a black handgun.

Call 480-WITNESS if you have any information about this case.  There's a reward of up to $1000 for information leading to the suspect's arrest, and you can remain anonymous.
