Police: Woman dead, suspect oustanding following triple-shooting

Police say a woman is in extremely critical condition following a triple-shooting in Phoenix.

- ***UPDATE*** Police are searching for 35-year-old Adam Blomdahl in connection to this deadly shooting. He was last seen driving a white 2015 Chevrolet Sonic with an Arizona license plate BMZ7484.

If you see him, DO NOT approach him, but call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS  or dial 9-1-1.

Residents say the shots rang out around midnight and three people were rushed to the hospital after bullets went flying.

"See the little wall right where the person with the red shirt is, right in that little area was where they were shot," Terrance Hensley said.

Terrance Hensley says his roommate, a 65-year-old man, was shot in the leg after trying to help. According to Hensley and police, it started with an argument between a 42-year-old woman and her 35-year-old neighbor and escalated when her 62-year-old boyfriend stepped in.

"By the time I came out, my roommate was back in the house, we were trying to deal with him, the boyfriend was over there in the neighbor's yard to this side of us and Gayle, after he ran her over, was in her mother's yard," Hensley said.

Phoenix police echo Hensley's statement that the woman was run over before the suspect left the scene.

"He ran her over purposely, it appears, with the car," Officer James Holmes said. "He then backed the vehicle up, ran her over a second and eventually a third and fourth time before leaving the area."

Investigators are still looking into the cause of the fight, but can confirm during the argument that the suspect went back into his house and got a gun.

Police can also confirm the victim was well-known to officers, calling them to the home she shared with her mother dozens of times for various reasons.

"We have taken her to seek urgent psychiatric care on different occasions in an effort to help her," Officer Holmes said.

Search warrants were obtained in an effort to gather evidence from the victim's car, her mother's home, as well as the suspect's home.

"She sits in that little white car, down there day and night running the air conditioning," a neighbor said.
