It's a story that's dominated headlines in the valley for close to two weeks.
Since August 29th, we’ve seen a string of shootings along valley freeways. Here's a map of the 11 shootings confirmed by the Arizona Department of Public Safety. On Sunday, DPS director Col. Frank Milstead says they've received 850 tips from people calling their tip line.
You can see that most of them happened along Interstate 10.
On Saturday we've had several incidents where people have had the windows in their cars hit and glass shattered.
The one on the left took place near I-10 and 32nd Street. And the one on the right happened at I-10 and 83rd Avenue.
It may seem a little strange that we’ve had several incidents on our valley freeways this afternoon, but DPS says none of the 4 incidents today were related to the shooting case.
They say these were all caused by some sort of debris.
They tell us there hasn't been a shooting since Thursday, however, people are still on edge.
Authorities say at least two incidents of vehicles with shattered windows in Phoenix are not related to a string of freeway shootings.
A driver traveling on the interstate where several of the incidents had occurred reported a damaged window Saturday. But investigators say road debris caused the damage. They say another car's shattered window is attributed to a street sweeper.
