Police are investigating two shootings in south Phoenix that happened within hours of each other.

Police say two people have died following two shootings in south Phoenix that happened within hours of each other.
 
Phoenix police say a 33-year-old man has been hospitalized in critical condition after being shot in a drive-by shooting near 27th Street and Wood early Friday morning.
 
On Thursday night, three people were hospitalized following a triple-shooting near 24th Street and Broadway.
 
Police say two African-American male suspects were let into the home and at some point, one of the suspects shot the three victims inside the home. The suspects then left the scene.
 
Two of the three victims have died and the other is expected to survive.
 
Investigators say the shooting may have been drug-related.
 
Police have not said if the shootings are related and do not believe the shootings are connected to the serial street shootings in Phoenix.
