MESA, Ariz. (AP) -- Authorities say a man has been wounded after a shooting involving Mesa police.
Police say no officers were injured in Tuesday afternoon's incident.
The man was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries after being shot twice in the upper body.
Television footage shows several bullet holes in the windshield of a car at the scene of the shooting at Gilbert Road and Southern Avenue.
Police say the man repeatedly rammed the vehicles of undercover agents who had swarmed him in a parking lot and that led to the shooting.
Officers had been assisting agents with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives at the time of the shooting.
Police didn't disclose why the man was under federal investigation and his name wasn't immediately released.
