Reward offered in Church's Chicken robbery

- Police are searching for two suspects involved in the robbery of a Church's Chicken restaurant and a reward is offered for information leading to their arrest.

According to Silent Witness spokesperson Sgt. James Rothschild, the first suspect walked into the store while the second suspect waited outside.  The crime happened Sunday, August 28th at about 6:30pm at the Church's Chicken near 24th Street and Broadway in Phoenix.

Rothschild says the suspect waited until other customers left, then removed a handgun, pointed it at the clerk, and demanded money from the register.  The worker put the register on the counter and then hid in the store.

The suspect grabbed the cash and got inside a white older model 1990-2000 passenger vehicle, possibly a Ford or Dodge, and a second suspect was behind the wheel.

Both suspects are described as black men, six feet to six feet two inches tall, weighing between 240 to 260 pounds.  The suspect accused of robbing the store was wearing a blue baseball hat and a gray shirt with the phrase "I AM HIP HOP" printed on it.

If you have any information about the crime, you're urged to call 480-WITNESS.  There is a cash reward involved and you can remain completely anonymous.
