A woman says a group of thieves broke into her Maryvale home, stole electronics and also went after her pet pig.
Thankfully, the piglet was able to get away.
The incident was all caught on camera and now, the owner hopes someone can help put a would-be pig-napper behind bars. The 10-month-old micro-pig is named "Sprinkles."
A surveillance camera was rolling when thieves broke into the home. The video shows one of the thieves calling for the other and attempts to grab the piglet, but Sprinkles is able to elude his grasp and eventually the burglar gives up.
The owner says before she left for a doctor's appointment, she turned on a surveillance camera which she uses to keep an eye on Sprinkles. Just minutes after she left, the video shows the thieves inside the home.
"They took a lot of stuff but it's all replaceable," said Alexis, the homeowner.
She says they made off with a 60-inch TV, video game consoles and several drones among other things.
But the one thing she cannot replace is Sprinkles. She says she was on a waiting list for a year and a half before she was able to adopt the micro pig.
A neighbor who witnessed the thieves getting away said they drove off in a white SUV.
If anyone has any information about the burglary they are asked to call the Phoenix Police Department.
