German Shepherd gets second chance at life after being injured in hit and run

-
A dog was hit by a car and left on the road to die.

Fortunately he was given a lifeline when a veterinarian spotted the dog.

Veterinarian Bill Linney brought the black German Shepherd named "Thor" to the Phoenix veterinary hospital.

The dog suffered multiple fractures to the point that Doctor Linney says he couldn't use his back end at all.

The "Animals Benefit Club" is raising funds for Thor's surgery, and they are hoping the community will pitch in to help this innocent animal.

Doctor Linney tells us that Thor wasn't the only dog he picked up.

"My fiancée and I drove crosstown and picked Thor up and the other dog Petunia and brought them over here to this facility and Andra has been working hard to getting some funds raised to get them treated."

The "Animals Benefit Club" is trying to raise $3,600 to pay for Thor's surgery.
