The Arizona Red Cross is deploying more than a dozen people to help out with the damage Hurricane Matthew has caused in the southeast.
Two volunteers left this morning in an emergency response car to bring supplies to those hit by the hurricane.
In all 16 volunteers from the southwest are headed to Florida.
The Red Cross has set up 200 evacuation centers along the east coast serving some 27,000 people.
One volunteer says she is glad she is able to help.
"It's humbling and it's rewarding. It's important because volunteers are desperately needed and we're able to do this. So I feel like what's a few weeks out of your life for what all these people are going to be going through."
The Red Cross is also making a plea for blood donations, saying dozens of blood drives have been canceled because of the storm.
If anyone would like to help, appointments can be made on the Red Cross Donor App, visiting their website at redcrossblood.org or calling 1-800-RED-CROSS (1-800-733-2767).
